As well as I promised, I’m’ PolinaAsmolovskaya, continue the story about our study and vacations in Beijing.
I remind you, that our amicable student’s team of mechanical faculty of BNTU: PolinaAsmolovskaya, Olga Pysk, AnastasiyaKonstantionova, AlekseiLavrienyaиYan Kozlovskiy, led by the senior teacher of "Economy and organization of mechanicalproduction" department Oleg ViktorovichKunevich, have arrived in China for participation in the program of Beijing technological University "Belt and road student summer-camp Beijing".
We have already told about the first impressions of the program and Beijing.
There have passed two more weeks. And a lot of interesting things happened to us!
At firstabout study and the project «Smart vehicles». We had an engineering competition! All participants of summer camp were divided into 10 teams. Teams receivedcommon task: with the help of all available tools, devicesand details create technical module– an electrical vehicle, moving from station to station on a spiral platform.
It so happened that all of us, students from BNTU, were in different teams. But this is a chance! In a friendly manner to compete with each other!
Except our project, we had practical classes on the lectures we had studied. In laboratory we assembled and disassembled the engine, combined mechanisms of the car.
I would like to mention the center of Beijing University of Technology has a great variety of resources. The university has several real working expensive cars that can be disassembled and assembled for training purposes.
In parallel with the lessons for the remaining 2 weeks, we continued to go on excursions. We visited the Olympic stadium Bird Nest - the most expensive stadium in China.
We visited the performance of Chinese acrobats. It was unforgettable! Holding our breath, we watched as 9 fragile girls rode on one bike, standing on each other's shoulders, as 8 motorcyclists rides inside the metal sphere ... There were many other spectacular performances, all accompanied by light music and amazed by the beautiful costumes of the artists. The audience was delighted!
But even more fascinating was our big excursion to the automotive technology park at the Great Wall Motors plant. We visited the manufactories of the company, as well as were able to test the products! We had a test drive on the Great Wall premium-class cars on the highway, where you can drive at a speed of 180-240 km / h.
But the time to return home always comes. And our Beijing study holidays are over. On this occasion, a solemn closing ceremony was held, at which our Oleg Viktorovich spoke with a grateful speech from all foreign participants.
The ceremony also summed up the engineering competition and announced the three winning teams. And it so happened that the entire female part of our group: I, Olya and Nastya, were members of just these winning teams. We were rewarded with a portable Xiaomi speaker.
But not only the winners received memorable awards. All participants of the program were given certificates, fans with the university’s engraving, as well as USB-cards with memorable videos about all the past days!
Yes, it was a wonderful, fascinating and informative event in our lives.
We will never forget you, Beijing!
