After 2 months of exams and practice, our real summer has come, and, behold, we are in Beijing!
We, the students of the department "Economics and organization of machine-building production": PolinaAsmolovskaya (10302115), Kozlovsky Yan (10302116), Lavrienya Alexey (10302116), Pysk Olga (10302114), Konstantinova Anastasia (10302114). Under the guidance of Oleg Kunevich, a senior lecturer in the department, our group arrived in the capital of the People's Republic of China to participate in the program “Belt and road student summer-camp Beijing” of Beijing University of Technology (Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT)).
Together with us, more than 100 young people from all over the world, from 12 countries of the world from Great Britain to China, take part in the program. The international exchange program is aimed at acquainting with new technologies in the production of energy and intelligent vehicles through training directly at production sites. And to us, engineers and economists of the machine-building faculty, this program was an excellent opportunity to continue the practical study of innovative technologies in production.
And now, first things first. We were met very cordially, comfortably delivered from the airport to the hostel. It is difficult not to mention that Beijing turned out to be a very hot city - sometimes the temperature reaches +43 degrees Celsius.
The university organized a grand opening ceremony attended by leaders of BIT, representatives of the Ministry of Education of China, and city leaders. The ceremony was also covered by Chinese television.
We were especially proud when at the ceremony the flag of the Republic of Belarus was presented among the first, next to the flag of the organizing country.
To participate in the activities of the camp program, we were divided into 4 groups: A (apples), B (bananas), C (cats), D (dogs). Four of us came to the "Cats", and two of us in group B. With these groups we travel around China during excursions.
Already in the first week we managed to visit the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace.
The Chinese wall submitted not without effort, but the beauty seen at its top struck us for life.
The majestic Temple-monastic complex of the Temple of Heaven is very beautiful, laconic and, it is true, it seems to merge with the sky. It was believed that this arrangement contributes to the free communication of the emperor, the son of Heaven, with his spiritual ancestors.
The forbidden city was fascinated by its scale, because it is a whole district in the heart of Beijing, where the rulers of China used to live.
In the park of the Summer Palace, we traveled around the lake with blooming lotuses on a boat made in the old Chinese style.
After seeing the ancient sights, we went on planned excursions to the automobile factories BJEV and Mercedes Benz.
The BJEV factory struck with modern electric cars, the comfort of which we could appreciate on ourselves, after sitting inside. At the Mercedes factory we were introduced to the automated production cycle of a wide range of autocars, this automaker took and automated its production in accordance with all the canons of Industry 4.0.
In China, we, as foreigners, have great popularity among residents of Beijing, we are constantly approached to be photographed and get acquainted.
During the summer school, we not only learn about China, but also participate in the creation of the “Smart Machines” project. Details and photos of the educational process, are expected in the next news from Beijing, well, we went to eat Chinese noodles!
