Young scientists from 18 countries discussed the problems of subsoil use and development of the industry at Saint-Petersburg Mining University

On the 17th of April as the delegation of 8 people, we went to St. Petersburg. The Belarusian National Technical University was represented by A.Yu. Kochergin, Yu.A. Medvedeva, D.V. Putrash, A.A. Rekish, as well as the leaders – A.A. Kologrivko, M.A. Silyuk and Professor V.V. Ivashechkin.

The opening of the forum took place on the 18th of April. The Rector of the Mining University greeted the participants and delivered a report "Resource Potential for the Development of the World Economy". The plenary session outlined the industry's problems, highlighted the environmental consequences of subsoil use and the direction of technology development in the mineral and raw materials complex for the coming period. The significance of interstate integration has been marked many times - the forum has gathered the young scientists from 18 countries of the world. For two days Multi Functional Complex "Gorniy" had 9 sections, where 300 delegates from 68 higher educational establishments could submit their reports and take part in the discussion.

Within the framework of the section "Economic mechanisms of innovation development" a wide range of issues was considered. The chairman of the section and of the expert commission Cherepovitsin A. E. thanked the participants for their fruitful work summing up the results. There were 15 heard reports from representatives of Russia, Mongolia, Germany, Poland, Belarus, etc. I spoke with the topic "Industrial services as an innovative tool to improve competitiveness". Report was prepared under the leadership of S.Yu. Solodovnikova and Yu.V. Meleshko. Also I got acquainted with the works of other participants.

The last 2 days in St. Petersburg were devoted to a sightseeing tour of the city, the university and the closure of the forum.

Yu.A. Medvedeva represented Belarusian National Technical University in the section "Integrated development of oil and gas fields and transportation of hydrocarbon raw materials". She was awarded a diploma of 3 degree in the nomination "Best graduate student" for the report "Regeneration of well filters by the method of intermittent swabbing in a reagent".

All forum participants received vivid impressions from the cultural capital of Russia and useful experience from participating in the event.
