It became already a regular event to hold the cyber-tournament in the FIFA discipline at the Sports and Technical Faculty. As before, 16 future sports engineers had a chance to pass the way, which any professional football player would call a dream. They got an opportunity to play in the Champions Cup and lift the cherished trophy above their heads.
As it was last year, the excitement around the tournament has died away. The time which was spent by participants to register in this event tells about it. Only seven hours they need to leave no free claims to be a participant. Such statistics can only gladden the organizers.
The tournament itself started at 10:00 and until the evening from the study room of the dormitory № 1 of MGLU came screams, familiar to all not indifferent to football. Nothing could happen without sensations. The current owner of the trophy, Vladislav Vergeichik, a student of the group 11902115, left the tournament at the stage of the ¼ final, as it turned because of the hands of the future champion - Ivan Gordey (the left at the pictured ), who at the stage of casting teams wasn’t lucky at all: the student of group 11902116 got English " Everton ", which in the ranking of the teams-participants closed the list. But this did not prevent Ivan from going through a worthy, and most importantly, champion path.
The final was the real culmination of the whole holiday. Silver medalist, student of group 11902117 - Nikita Shvetsov, being a player of "Manchester United" already in the 40th minute of the first half of the final match led the future champion with a score of 4: 1. But happened, it would seem, incredible. Sophomore not only transferred the game to overtime, equalized the score in 90 minutes, he also became stronger in the series of penalty. In the match for the third place student from group 11902115 - Evgeny Alenishko was the strongest one. In the match for bronze he beat his groupmate - Maxim Lukshu.
The participants after the tournament shared their impressions. They said that there should be such tournaments because when you play football on the game console, you can acquaint a person more closely. Play football, any football, but what is the most important – play!
