International Conference on Welding: Current Issues and Advanced Technologies in Science and Industry
The Department of Powder Metallurgy, Welding, and Materials Technology co-organized the 1st International Scientific and Technical Conference on "Current Issues and Advanced Technologies in Welding in Science and Industry" with the Belarusian-Russian University. The event took place on November 24-25, 2022, at the Interstate Educational Institution of Higher Education "Belarusian-Russian University" under the auspices of the Department of Welding Equipment and Technology.
The conference received support from the Ministry of Education of Belarus, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, and several higher education institutions from both countries.
During the conference, scientists and industry specialists consolidated their findings and exchanged experiences in welding and related technologies, strengthening ties among scientific communities in the CIS countries and neighboring regions. The conference was structured into four sections.
Additionally, an exhibition of welding equipment and personal protective gear for welding operations was planned, along with demonstrations of scientific developments and proposals in the field of welding.
The Department of Powder Metallurgy, Welding, and Materials Technology, along with the Research Testing Laboratory for Welding, Related Technologies, and Non-Destructive Testing of the branch of the Research Institute of BNTU, presented 10 reports at the conference, which garnered significant interest.
Among the speakers were F.I. Panteleenko, S.V. Medvedev, A.M. Mamonov, N.I. Urbanovich, V.Yu. Sereda, A.A. Litvinko, E.B. Demchenko, P.V. Zankovets, I. Karaminadik, and M.N. Karpets.
BNTU management graciously provided transportation—a GAZ A65R52 minibus—for participants' travel to the conference.
Furthermore, all speakers, young scientists, and engineers, including M.N. Filippov and A.D. Novikov, had the opportunity to visit the laboratory of the Department of Welding Equipment and Technology at the Belarusian-Russian University and the testing center of the oldest welding department in the Republic of Belarus.
