The main directions of research work of the Department of Social Management of BNTU
Since 2021, the department has begun to develop the state budget topic GB 21-279 "BNTU in the system of higher technical education in Belarus: history and modernity." Deadline: 2021–2025 Expected scientific practical and socio-economic results: reconstruction of the historical path of development of BNTU and development of practical recommendations for improving the image of the university in the modern educational space; preparation of a collective monograph. The head of the research work was Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor V.A. Bobkov, and since July 2021 - Head of the Department of History, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A.N. Cooks. R&D is thematically linked to the State Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025. "Education and youth policy".
In connection with the division of the department in February 2022, a new research topic of the department of social management was approved: “ Social management in the context of the transformation of modern Belarusian society”. Expected scientific practical and socio-economic results: development of theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for improving social management in the Republic of Belarus. "Society and Humanitarian Security of the Belarusian State".
Every year, the staff of the department actively publish their work in the form of monographs, brochures, articles in scientific and socio-political journals "Belarusian Dumka", "Vesti National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", "Scientific works of the Republican Institute of Higher Education", "Vesti BDPU", "Labor . Unions. Society”, “Proceedings of BSTU”, “Belarusian Historical Review”, etc.
In 2021, the teachers of the Department of Social Management published 20 articles, including 16 in scientific journals of the Republic of Belarus, of which 8 articles in VAK journals, and 4 articles in foreign publications. So, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Bobkov V.A. cooperates with scientific institutions of the Russian Federation, took part in the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Regions of Russia: Strategies and Mechanisms for Modernization, Innovative and Technological Development", held by the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Kursk State University. The report was published in the yearbook "Russia: trends and development prospects", issue 16, Moscow, 2021. Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Panchenko A.V. published 2 articles in the International scientific and practical journal "Global Science and Innovations" 2021: Central Asia (Ser. Political Science), published in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department Dubovik E.A. published a scientific article in the journal "Multicultural Studies" (University of Huzhou, China).
36 reports were also published in collections of materials of international, republican and university conferences (of which 4 were abroad).
The average age of the teaching staff is 54 years. The number of young scientists under 35 years old is 1 full-time teacher: Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Management Dubovik E.A. In January 2021, she was recognized as the winner in the competition "The Best Young Scientist of BNTU 2020" in the nomination "Humanities".
Head Department of Social Management, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor L.N. Semenova is a member of the Council for the Defense of Candidate's Dissertations K 02.21.03 at the establishment of education "Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank", regularly acts as an official opponent in the defense of dissertations.
Professor of the Department of Social Management V.A. Bobkov is the founder of a scientific school in the field of sociological and political science research on the problems of sustainable innovative development of society.
The directions of the scientific activity of the scientists of the department correspond to the world trends in the development of socio-political sciences, where the central place is given to the problems of sustainable innovative development, globalization and integration.
