The following level of education is required for admission to BNTU:
- at the level of general secondary in the Republic of Belarus for studying at faculties;
- at the bachelor's level for studying in the magistracy (confirmation of the equivalence of the bachelor's degree to the corresponding education of the Republic of Belarus);
- at the master's level for postgraduate studies (confirmation of the equivalence of a bachelor's and master's degree to the corresponding education of the Republic of Belarus).
- In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of education, citizens of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as citizens of Ukraine permanently residing in the territory of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, have the right to enter the I stage of higher education at BNTU on the conditions provided for for:
a) citizens of the Republic of Belarus, i.e. at the expense of the republican budget or on the terms of payment provided for citizens of the Republic of Belarus, based on the results of entrance examinations in the form of centralized testing or conducted at the HEI;
b) foreign citizens and stateless persons, i.e. on the terms of payment provided for "foreign citizens", based on the results of an interview that establishes the level of their proficiency in the language in which the educational process is carried out, in an amount sufficient to master the content of the educational program of higher education.
- Other foreign citizens and stateless persons who do not reside on the territory of the Republic of Belarus can enter the university for higher education:
- at the expense of the budget or on a paid basis - in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Belarus;
- on a paid basis - according to the results of the final certification when mastering the content of the educational program for preparing people for admission to the Higher Educational Institution;
- on a paid basis - based on the results of an interview that establishes the level of their proficiency in the language in which the educational process is carried out, in an amount sufficient to master the content of the educational program of higher education.
- Acceptance of documents for studying at BNTU, entrance examinations and enrollment of foreign citizens specified in paragraph 1 and entering in accordance with subparagraph a) is carried out in accordance with the Procedure for admission to BNTU of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the territory The Republic of Belarus.
- Consideration of documents from foreign citizens for studying at BNTU is carried out from June 30 to October 15.
Foreign citizens of visa-free countries can send copies of documents by mail or arrive in Belarus and submit original documents for study in person.

The Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Economic Affairs conducts the procedure for reviewing documents on education. Upon positive approval of documents on education, BNTU sends an official invitation to study to the consular office of the Republic of Belarus at the place of residence of a foreign applicant (for visa countries) and a letter of information to inform the applicant (for visa-free countries).
After arriving in the country, the applicant is required to register with the Migration Service and an interview in the Russian language (if there is no certificate of graduation from the faculty of pre-university training, preparatory department, preparatory courses of universities).
When organizing the educational process in English, a foreign citizen is interviewed in the subject "English".
Upon admission to the Faculty of Architecture, an exam in drawing and composition is also taken.
- Enrollment of foreign applicants for study at BNTU is made after an interview in the Russian language. Foreign citizens who have not passed an interview in the Russian language can be enrolled in the preparatory department of the BNTU in the general manner.
