
On November 19, 2025, the plenary session of the XII International Scientific and Technical Conference "Information Technologies in Education, Science, and Production" was held in the Educational Technologies Hall of the National Library of Belarus . The event was timed to coincide with two significant dates: the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian National Technical University and the 25th anniversary of the founding of the International Institute of Distance Education (MIDO).

Ksenia Yakushenko, BNTU Vice-Rector for Research, opened the conference . She congratulated the institute on its anniversary, noted its achievements, and emphasized the importance of further developing digital education and scientific initiatives.

Representatives of government agencies, scientific organizations, and leading universities from the country participated in the conference. Distinguished guests included Alexander Tsyganov , Rector of the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship; Jahangiri Yahya, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Svetlana Yurenya , Chair of the Association of Appraisal Organizations; Valery Borodenya , Director of the Center for Training, Advanced Training, and Retraining of Personnel of the State Property Committee ; Yury Yatsyna , Director of the Scientific and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; Sergei Olyunin , Head of the Department of Management and Economics of Higher Education at the Republican Institute of Higher Education ; and international partners.

Participants discussed current trends in digital education and the implementation of information technology in scientific and industrial activities.
Particular attention was given to the significant progress the institute has made over the past 25 years. The institute received congratulatory messages from the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University, the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, as well as from foreign partner organizations in Russia, Iran, China, Sri Lanka, and other countries. These messages were a clear indication of the international recognition and broad support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has earned over the years.

Igor Satikov, founder of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered a congratulatory address . He emphasized that a quarter of a century has been a significant milestone in the institute's development and growth, and expressed confidence that the institute will continue to be a platform for implementing cutting-edge solutions, bringing together talented faculty, students, researchers, and industrial partners.

MIDO Director Marina Sednina noted that the institute's success is the result of the collaborative work of the university administration, the institute's staff, and partner organizations. She thanked everyone who supported the institute over the years and created the conditions for its growth and recognition.

The 12th International Scientific and Technical Conference was a key milestone in the university's series of anniversary events and once again demonstrated that the Ministry of Education and Science (MIDO) is confidently looking to the future, continuing its traditions and developing the best practices in modern education.
