Nanotechnology is a field specializing in the development and application of objects whose size ranges from a few to several hundred nanometers (1 nanometer is one billionth of a meter). To get an idea of the nanometer size, take a look at your hair. A nanometer is 100 thousand times smaller. At such scales, substances can take on properties that are different from those at other scales (e.g., atomic, molecular, or macroscale).
We are accustomed to using nanotechnology in our lives. Smartphones, laptops, computers - everything is created using microchips.
The work of the school for young people in the direction of “Nanotechnologies” takes place every first Saturday of the month from 10.15 to 11.00 in the nanodiagnostics laboratory (Ya. Kolasa St., 22, educational building of BNTU No. 17, 8th floor, room 805 a).
Additionally, we conduct master classes for organized groups on other days from 13.00 to 17.00 (by prior agreement).
