About the scientific school and the NSS
On the basis of the Department of Economics and Law, there is a Scientific School in the field of economic modernization research, the founder of which is Professor G. T. Kovalevsky. The scientific school in the field of economic modernization research was founded more than 50 years ago and today has more than 80 people, the head of the scientific school today is Doctor of Economics, Professor Sergey Yurievich Solodovnikov. The methodological basis for the association of scientists - representatives of the school is the subjective approach, which implies the disclosure of the real economic interests of business entities in the study of any economic relations. Under the scientific guidance of Doctor of Economics, Professor Sergey Yurievich Solodovnikov, on the basis of the Department of Economics and Law, there is a student scientific bureau Modernization of Economics, chaired by Skoraya Ksenia Viktorovna (gr. 10808120). The Student Scientific Bureau unites students of the department who are active in research activities. Every year, members of the scientific bureau become winners of the Republican competition of scientific works of students of universities of the Republic of Belarus, receive scholarships from the President of the Republic of Belarus, nominal and personal scholarships, successfully deliver reports at republican and international scientific and practical conferences. Student research teams of the department successfully carry out research work within the framework of grants from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and are also part of the executors of republican and international works carried out with the support of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Basic Research. On a regular basis, the student scientific bureau organizes round tables dedicated to the discussion of modern economic literature, and public lectures by famous Belarusian scientists and public figures.
