Research work
Scientific research work of the faculty of the department is carried out within the framework of the state budget research work "Improvement of electrical systems of industrial mechanisms and vehicles" (GB No. 16-273), in which all teachers of the department participate.
Based on the results of the GB R&D:
- research methods and tools have been developed to improve the technical and economic performance of electrical systems;
- obtained static and dynamic characteristics of electrical systems of industrial mechanisms and vehicles;
- Algorithms for controlling electrical systems have been defined, which allow improving the technical and economic performance of industrial mechanisms and vehicles.
At the department, within the framework of the VNK, GB No. 19-34 of the State Scientific Research Institute is being carried out on assignment 1.3.13 "Informatics, space and security." The head of the VNK "Control in mechatronic systems" is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Opeyko O.F.
According to the results of the implementation of the SPNI:
- expressions were defined and software was developed for calculating the rotor resistance of an asynchronous electric motor in a vector control system;
- for the system of the traction electric drive of the tractor, an algorithm for taking into account the moment of inertia when changing the working body is proposed;
- for the system of vector control of the speed of a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets, a model of dynamic modes with field weakening has been developed.
The department actively conducts research work of students.
The research work of students is an integral part of the educational process and the training of qualified specialists in the specialty 1-53 01 05 "Automated electric drives", capable of independently solving professional, scientific and technical problems.
Scientific activity contributes to the formation of the readiness of future specialists for the creative implementation of the complex knowledge acquired at the university, which helps to master the methodology of scientific research and gain research experience.
In order to attract students to scientific research, scientific reports are presented annually to the student conference, competitions and exhibitions of students' scientific works are held, a number of works are sent to republican competitions of students' research works.
The main goal of organizing and developing research work among the students of the department is to increase the level of scientific training of specialists and identify talented young people for further education in the magistracy, postgraduate studies and replenishment of the scientific staff of the department.
