All teachers of the department participate in the implementation of research on the topic GB 16-309 "Mathematical modeling of electromagnetic processes in electrical and electronic devices."
Head Department Bladyko Yu.V. supervised VNK on assignment 1.2.22 "Development of methods for mechanical calculation of flexible conductors of switchgear and power transmission lines" of the State Scientific Research Institute "Energy Systems, Processes and Technologies" of the subprogram "Energy Safety and Reliability of Energy Systems".
Currently, Bladyko Yu.V. is the head of task 1.2.01 "Calculation of flexible conductors of electrical installations under the influence of static and electrodynamic loads" of the State Scientific Research Institute "Energy and Nuclear Processes and Technologies" of the subprogram "Energy Security of the Republic of Belarus Based on the Principles of Sustainable Development".

The performance of students in the academic year when performing research work is characterized by the following main indicators:
In accordance with the order of the rector No. 222 dated February 13, 2020, an open Olympiad on the theoretical foundations of electrical engineering was held on the basis of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics of the Belarusian National Technical University on March 17, 2020. 36 students from 4 universities of the Republic of Belarus took part in the Olympiad. A feature of this year's Olympiad is the remote participation of students from other universities.
With the winners and prize-winners, preparations were made for the international Olympiad.
Students of the Energy Faculty of BNTU took part in the International Student Olympiad in Theoretical and General Electrical Engineering named after M.O. Dolivo-Dobrovolsky "Electrical Engineering-2020", held by the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (ISUE, Ivanovo, Russia) on December 6-9, 2020. This year the Olympiad was held online. 12 teams from the leading universities of the CIS countries announced their participation in the Olympiad, the number of participants was 43 people.
Our university was represented by:
Borshchevsky Andrey Viktorovich, gr. 10602118
Bulin Maxim Nikolaevich, gr. 10602118
Tarasevich Daniil Dmitrievich, gr. 10602118
Akhremko Andrey Alexandrovich, gr. 10601118
The BNTU team took 2nd place in the team event, leaving behind the team of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (LETI). BNTU students Andrei Borshchevsky and Daniel Tarasevich took the 2nd place in the individual championship. These are our best achievements for the entire time of participation in the Olympiads.
From December 8 to December 9, the VIII International Student Olympiad in the Electric Power Industry named after V.I. A.F. Dyakova. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the event was held entirely remotely on the Zoom platform. A distinctive feature of the 2020 Olympiad was also the reduction in the number of Olympiad tasks to 6 and the reduction in the time of the Olympiad to 2.5 hours.
The participants of the Olympiad were given 6 tasks to solve in the following disciplines:
The Olympiad was attended by 68 students in 13 teams from 11 leading technical universities in Russia and foreign countries.
The BNTU team was presented by:
Solovyov Stanislav Sergeevich, gr. 10602216
Brutsky-Stempkovsky Nikolai Alexandrovich, gr. 10602116
Kovtun Gleb Kirillovich, gr. 10602216
Shavlyukevich Roman Vladimirovich, gr. 10609116
Lozitskaya Svetlana Valerievna, undergraduate
Avgustinovich Egor Yurievich, gr. 10609116
The score of the team championship was determined by summing up the scores of the best four participants in the team. As a result, the places in the team championship were distributed as follows:
1 place
National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute"
2nd place
Belarusian National Technical University
3rd place
Smolensk branch of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute
In the individual championship, the individual scores of each participant were determined. As a result, the following participants received degree diplomas in the individual championship:
Diploma 1 degree
Solovyov Stanislav Sergeevich (BNTU)
Diploma 3 degree
Brutsky-Stempkovsky Nikolai Alexandrovich (BNTU)
Kovtun Gleb Kirillovich (BNTU)
