Lesson on computer design and 3D printing technologies within the framework of the School of Young ATF
On Saturday, January 20, 2024, as part of the School of Young ATF , a lesson was held dedicated to introducing schoolchildren to computer design and 3D printing technologies.
At the beginning, senior teacher of the Department of Tractors Andrei Anatolyevich Dzyoma introduced schoolchildren in grades 8-9 from the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 10 of Minsk" and the State Educational Institution "Borovlyanskaya Secondary School" with the main specialties and specializations of training at the Automotive and Tractor Faculty, spoke about the specifics of the engineer profession , engineer-designer, about the student design bureau “SILA” and the “Youth Roadster” project.
In addition, the guys got acquainted with the main software packages that will allow them to get a prototype of a product from an idea to a finished model. We learned about the types of 3D printers, materials used in various printing technologies, software that allows you to prepare 3D models for printing, and the basic settings that affect the quality and speed of printing.
In conclusion, Andrey Anatolyevich advised which academic subjects should be given more attention at school for those who in the future want to become a student at the Automotive and Tractor Faculty of BNTU, and the participants received a memorable souvenir printed on a 3D printer right during the lesson.
