Currently, the department is training full-time specialists for higher education in the specialty
1-36 01 07 "Hydropneumatic systems of mobile and technological machines"
in two specializations:
Duration of study: full-time education - 5 years.
Both specializations are dictated by the wide use of hydropneumatic systems in industry. At the same time, training on one takes into account the specifics of the design, construction and operation of hydropneumatic systems of cars, tractors, road-building and other mobile machines, training on the other takes into account the features of the use of hydropneumatic systems in machine tools, forging and pressing equipment, lifting, transporting machines, in robots, manipulators and other technological equipment.
Graduates receive diplomas with the qualification of "mechanical engineer".
Education is carried out in accordance with the developed standard and curricula in the specialty by highly qualified teaching staff (80% have academic degrees and titles) using comprehensive scientific and methodological support and an extensive material and technical base, including the use of computers and multimedia equipment.
Students learn to design hydropneumatic devices and systems in general, organize their production, testing and operation; assess the technical condition, organize and carry out maintenance and repair, introduce the latest technologies; conduct scientific research on the profile of work, use computer technology. In general, students receive fundamental scientific and practical knowledge in their specialty, advanced methods of managing a labor collective and educational work skills, and expand their social horizons. The teaching staff teaches the ability to independently make responsible and informed decisions, develop and maintain technical documentation, and resolve other issues related to production and social activities.
The material and technical base of the department includes 17 special stands and installations, equipment for laboratory work, testing and research of the properties of working fluids, characteristics of volumetric hydraulic and pneumatic machines, hydropneumatic automation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of mobile equipment and process equipment. In 2014, the material and technical base of the department was replenished with modern equipment for laboratory work and scientific research.

Graduates of the department are distributed to the leading enterprises of the Republic of Belarus: BelAZ, MTZ, MAZ, Belkommunmash, Amkodor, MZKT, SALEO holding , etc. At the same time, OJSC BELAZ, OJSC MTZ, OJSC Atlant are the basic enterprises for which the department trains specialists in accordance with cooperation agreements.
The demand for graduates is constantly high, and the specialty “Hydropneumatic systems of mobile and technological machines” is one of the most popular in the republic. So in 2015, the list of structures that sent applications for graduates of the department was quite wide and consisted of 25 enterprises that design and operate hydropneumatic systems of both mobile and technological machines. The number of places at the request of enterprises of the republic over the past 3 years was 1.5 - 2 times higher than the number of graduates of the department who studied on a budgetary basis.
