The Department of Design of the Architectural Environment provides the implementation of educational programs for higher education of the 1st stage in two specialties: 1-69 01 02 "Architectural Design", 1-69 01 01 "Architecture".
Architectural design is a specialty whose subject area is socio-spatial, artistic and stylistic, coloristic, compositional and plastic characteristics of architectural and design objects. Architectural design is a special area of professional activity that covers architectural and design design, creation and maintenance of a continuous environment for human life. An architect-designer is a specialist who combines the knowledge and skills of both an architect and a designer, presenting an environmental object in its entirety, functional-spatial and artistic-aesthetic integrity. He must have the creative method of an architect-designer, which will allow him to combine the thoroughness, comprehensive validity of the final decisions inherent in design,

Organization of student practice : Practical training of students of the specialty 1-69 01 02 "Architectural Design" is organized in accordance with the Code of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 09.12.2011 N 1663 On approval of the regulation on the practice of students, cadets, listeners. The content and duration of the practice corresponds to the educational standards in the specialty and is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the curricula and the schedule of the educational process.
In accordance with the curriculum of the specialty 1-69 01 02 "Architectural Design" and the educational standard OSRB 1 69 01 02-2013 and OSRB 1 69 01 02-2018 in 2022. after the summer examination session, the following practices were held: Educational (drawing / painting) for the 2nd year, Educational (construction and technology) for the 3rd year, Production (design) for the 4th and 5th year. The production (undergraduate) for the 6th year was held in February-March 2022. The duration of the practice takes place in accordance with the curriculum and the schedule of the educational process.
Industrial practice of students is carried out in leading design organizations of various forms of ownership, in leading creative workshops, architectural and design bureaus. For example, in the following partner organizations of the department: JSC "Minskmetroproject", UE "Institute" BelNIIPgradostroitelstva", RUE "Institute" Belgosproject ", RUE "Institute" Grazhdanproekt ", UE "Grodnograzhdanproekt", LLC "Vorobiev and Partners", PKUP "Minskproekt" , Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Minsk City Institute of Improvement and Urban Design”, Minsk , etc.
The Department of "Design of the architectural environment" also trains masters and graduate students in the direction of "Architecture":
Master's degree. Currently, masters are being trained in the specialty 1 69 80 01 “Architecture” with the profile “Architectural design” and in the specialty 1 69 80 01 “Architecture” with the profile “Architecture and urban planning”.
Education in a full-time master's program is 1 year, in a correspondence course - 1.5 years. For foreign citizens with a bachelor's degree who have studied for less than 5 years, the duration of full-time master's studies will be 2 years. After defending a master's thesis, graduates receive a master's degree.
In 2021-2022, 5 people studied full-time in the magistracy in the specialty 1 69 80 01 "Architecture" with the profile "Architectural design". Of these, 1 person is a foreign citizen (China). June 2022 defended master's theses in the specialty 1 69 80 01 "Architecture" profile "Architectural design" with the assignment of an academic degree - Master of Architecture. All master's theses are made on actual topics, experimental projects are made on real topics. The master's theses reflect innovative principles and methods of organizing the architectural environment using architectural design tools.
In 2022-2023, in the master's program in the specialty 1 69 80 01 "Architecture", the profile "Architectural design" is studied: with a break from work 5 people, in a 2-year 2 people (foreign citizens, Colombia). Undergraduates are supervised by: Assoc. Litvinova A.A., Ph.D. arch., Assoc. Polyanskaya G.V., Ph.D. arch., Assoc. Mazanik A.V., Ph.D. Arts., Assoc. Ivanovskaya D.A., Ph.D. Arts., Assoc. Morozov E.V.
The department also takes part in the preparation of masters in the specialty 1 69 80 01 "Architecture" profiling "Architecture and urban planning".
Postgraduate. Training is conducted in the specialty 05.23.23 "Architecture of buildings and structures, urban and rural settlements, inter-settlement territories."
Postgraduate study is 3 years full-time postgraduate, 4 years part-time, 5 years postgraduate study. After successful completion of postgraduate studies, graduates receive a diploma "researcher", after defending a Ph.D. thesis, graduates receive a diploma "candidate of architecture", foreign citizens receive a diploma "Doctor of Philosophy".
In 2022-2023, at the Department of Design of the Architectural Environment, postgraduate students study: full -time - 1 person (foreign citizen of the DR Congo); in absentia - 1 person (citizen of the Republic of Belarus); applicant - 1 person (citizen of the Republic of Belarus).
