XVII EURASIAN FORUM OF SOCIAL WORKERS
On May 26-29, 2026, Minsk hosted the XVII Eurasian Forum of Social Workers. The key theme of the Forum is "Social Work: Global Challenges and innovative practices". The Eurasian Forum of Social Workers is an authoritative international platform that annually gathers social professionals, scientists and practitioners from all over the Eurasian region to share their diverse experience and knowledge in the field of social work, social security, education and rehabilitation.
The Forum in Minsk was attended by heads and representatives of the Department for Humanitarian Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, heads of international organizations (UNICEF, UNFPA), scientists and experts from Belarus, Russia, Great Britain, Korea, Thailand Hong Kong, Philippines, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. The focus is on inclusion in social work, the use of digital products, and the development of mutual assistance. Experts from various fields shared their opinions and best practices.
Natalia Lazovskaya, Head of the Department of Architecture of Residential and Public Buildings, took part in the Forum's business program and delivered a report on the topic "Universal design as the most important condition for social reintegration" at the session "Diversity and inclusion in the practice of social work", in which she highlighted the main results of scientific research on the formation of an accessible environment based on the principles of universal design, practices of architectural design of social facilities.
