MAIN ACTIVITIES OF SOCIAL TEACHERS

• Individual counseling for students and their parents.

SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE CATEGORY OF ORPHANS, CHILDREN LEFT WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE, AS WELL AS PERSONS FROM THE NUMBER OF ORPHANS AND CHILDREN LEFT WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE:

• individual counseling during the period of the admission company on issues of social protection upon admission to a higher educational institution;
• collection of documents necessary for the provision of state security;
• participation in the work of the commission to consider the issues of granting and terminating state support;
• ensuring the interaction and awareness of the social protection authorities that pay the survivor's pension to students at BNTU about the circumstances that lead to a change in the amount of the pension or termination of its payment;
• information and educational work and individual counseling of students, their legal representatives;
• formation of a data bank on orphans, children left without parental care, including liable persons;
• interaction with state authorities and administration on the implementation of regulatory legal acts on education, upbringing and social protection of students;
• cooperation with the teaching staff of the university (deputy deans for educational work, curators of study groups, dormitory teachers, etc.) on issues of social and pedagogical support for students, protection of their legal rights and interests.
• providing material assistance to students and undergraduates of the university:
  • identification of low-income students and undergraduates in need of financial assistance;
  • conducting individual consultations on the issues of obtaining material assistance, as well as receiving targeted social assistance.

SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT FOR MINOR STUDENTS:

• providing socio-pedagogical assistance in adapting to new conditions of study at the university and living in a student hostel;
• work with minors who are in a socially dangerous situation;
• participation in the work of the BNTU Council on the prevention of neglect, delinquency of underage students and cadets.

PREVENTIVE WORK WITH MINOR OFFENDERS AND STUDENTS REGISTERED IN IDN.

EDUCATIONAL WORK IN HOSTELS AND TRAINING GROUPS:

• study of the moral and psychological climate and housing and living conditions in student dormitories enrolled in the first year of students;
• formation of a healthy lifestyle culture, carrying out activities to prevent drug addiction, alcoholism, tobacco smoking, HIV / AIDS.
• Carrying out awareness-raising and preventive activities on the following topics:
  • social adaptation of first-year students to the conditions of study at the university and living in a student hostel;
  • social protection of students and undergraduates of the university:
  • organization of social support for gifted and talented youth of the university;
  • prevention of antisocial behavior, violence and cruelty in the family;
  • prevention of family troubles and social orphanhood;
  • preparing young people for family life;
  • prevention of human trafficking;
  • prevention of suicidal behavior among young people;
  • gender development.

METHODOLOGICAL WORK:

• development of methodological and informational materials in the areas of social and pedagogical activity (presentations, announcements, booklets, brochures, leaflets, etc.);
• leaving and regular updating of the socio-pedagogical characteristics of the university;
• preparation and provision of information on the implementation of the national program of demographic security of the Republic of Belarus;
• preparation of a report on the recovery of expenses from obligated persons for the maintenance of children who are on state care;

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF TEACHER PSYCHOLOGISTS

IDEOLOGICAL AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT OF MANAGEMENT PROCESSES:

• psychological support for the participation of students in university-wide, district, city and republican socially significant events;
• psychological support of educational and preventive work;
• informing students and employees on the pages of the newspaper "Vesci BNTU" about the ongoing socio-pedagogical and psychological work at the university;
• monitoring of ideological and educational work with university students;
• participation in meetings of curators and elders at the faculties of the university;

PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL DIAGNOSIS:

• individual and group psychological diagnostics at the request of students, deputy deans of faculties for educational work, curators of study groups, educators of hostels;
• conducting a survey of students in the framework of monitoring the effectiveness of ideological and educational work.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EDUCATION AND PREVENTION HEALTH SAVING ACTIVITIES ( conversations, round tables, business games and lectures in hostels and study groups of faculties in areas ):

• communication (psychology of interpersonal relations; psychology of feelings, gender stereotypes; psychological aspects of the relationship between a boy and a girl; conflicts and ways to resolve them);
• psychology of educational activity (prevention of examination stress; psychological competence in educational activities, how to successfully pass exams);
• professional adaptation. Self-awareness of the individual;
• psychology of health and healthy lifestyle, etc.

• preparation of methodological materials based on the results of psychological support for educational work with students in faculties and the university (information sheets, booklets, brochures, presentations, etc.);
• development of psychological and pedagogical recommendations for the organization of educational work by deputy deans, curators of study groups, faculty members of faculties;
• providing analytical information based on the results of monitoring ideological and educational work.
