He graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute in 1973, and postgraduate school in 1977. He worked at the Tractors department as an assistant, associate professor, and professor. From 1997 to 2002 – First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus. Honored inventor of the BSSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and technology. Author of more than 300 scientific works, including 11 monographs and more than 160 inventions. Academician of the Belarusian Mining Academy, member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers (SAE), member of the International Society of Automotive Engineers, member of the dissertation defense council. For many years he worked as chairman of the expert council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus.
