At 12 of October 2018 the group 11405118 of FTC visited the National library of Belarus leading to the good tradition of geodesists students to spend time together not only in the university but also outside of it.
Students choose the morning time for the excursion, time when there was not many people visited the library. A very interested and energetic guide Alexei was presented to us. Everyone made a wish while having touched the famous spinning granite ball. Then Alexei showed us a huge bibliographic catalog and work techniques in it. We took part in a voting for the best picture on the exhibition called “Sound characters of Anatolyi Dribas”.
Also we visited a unique exhibition “Belarus and Bible”.
We printed out the first page of Bible using the analogue of the ancient printing press.
We took part in the handwritten rewriting of the Bible on 3 languages: Belarusian, Russian and English. The excursion finished with a visiting of the observation deck on roof of the library where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the city.
