The purpose of the discipline "Applied Mathematics" is to deepen students' knowledge in the field of mathematics and mathematical modeling. Numerical-analytical methods for describing deterministic and stochastic models of real physical processes are considered, including classical, analytical and numerical methods for solving and analyzing typical problems of mathematical physics, as well as the main software tools for solving them.
"Fracture Mechanics" is a discipline that introduces the main modern methods for calculating the bearing capacity of structural elements, as well as the history and evolution of fundamental approaches in phenomenological strength mechanics. The purpose of teaching the discipline is to form a circle of ideas among students about the strength and bearing capacity of structural elements, mastering the basic principles and methods for their calculation, taking into account modern possibilities of mathematical modeling of processes and phenomena during the destruction of materials.
