The specialty is aimed at training engineers in the development, production and operation of sensors and sensor systems for instrument-making, machine-building, electronic, electrical, automotive and many other sectors of the national economy.
Theoretical and practical training is carried out taking into account specialization in the field of information-measuring devices and systems in the production of electronic products, for agricultural enterprises and the processing industry, environmental monitoring equipment, electronic systems of vehicles.
Engineers in this specialty receive in-depth knowledge in the field of theory and practice of measurements, physics and technology of sensors and sensor systems, electronics, circuitry, microprocessor technology, programming, information technology.
The versatility and versatility of the acquired skills allow you to quickly adapt to a wide range of activities, both in the conditions of large industrial enterprises and medium and small businesses.

The specialty is aimed at training engineers to work at enterprises and organizations producing, installing and operating devices and systems for security and fire alarms, hardware and software for protecting computer information.
The main attention is drawn to modern knowledge in the field of sensor technology, communication tools, software, information security. Special disciplines that form a specialist provide a deep study of circuitry, principles of operation and features of the operation of hardware and software parts of computer technology, the formation of skills to interface it with executive and control devices. When studying the disciplines of specializations, much attention is paid to the design and production of technical means of security and fire alarms, design, installation, adjustment, testing and operation of systems of technical means of protection, methods and means of protecting computer information at the hardware and software levels.
To ensure high-quality training of specialists, specialized laboratories equipped with modern equipment have been created at the profiling department "Information-measuring equipment and technologies", there is a unique base for scientific research. The Design Workshop "Safety Technologies", the Body for Certification of Special Protection Equipment with the Testing Center, the scientific sectors of special protection equipment and information and measuring equipment are successfully operating.

The problem of quality is in direct dynamic connection with scientific and technological progress, therefore, quality systems in modern society become an integral part of any production, covering all stages of activity from design to disposal of industrial products.
Quality assurance and quality management is impossible without assessing the most important parameters of objects at all stages of their production and operation. In this regard, the problem of providing the country's industry with qualified personnel who own modern methods and means of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics is coming to the fore. This specialization is aimed at training such specialists.
Graduates will work in the factory laboratories of the largest enterprises of the republic, the technical services of the Promatomnadzor of the Republic of Belarus and the State Technical Inspectorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, and other organizations that use non-destructive quality control of products.

To ensure the training of specialists, the profiling department "Information-measuring equipment and technologies" created branches at the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and JSC "Zavod Spetsavtomatika", which allows using their equipment for laboratory work, attracting qualified specialists from production to the educational process, thereby bringing the learning process as close as possible to the real needs of the market.
