- Conducting certification and surveillance audits of environmental management systems (EMS) to ensure compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 14001-2005;

The Department of Ecology, which hosts the Environmental Management Systems Certification Body, is one of the first in the Republic of Belarus to initiate activities in adapting and preparing Belarusian enterprises for environmental certification. Additionally, it possesses the necessary methodological base and qualified personnel.
Employees of the Environmental Management Systems Certification Body participated in the meeting of the TC 207 - technical committee on EMS of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). With their participation, the year-long training program for a group of enterprises on preparing for the creation and certification of EMS POEMS EE was successfully completed, with the support of the government of the Czech Republic.
