Training in the specialty is carried out in accordance with the developed standard and curricula by highly qualified teaching staff using comprehensive scientific and methodological support and an extensive material and technical base. The educational process is characterized by in-depth training in such important general scientific and special disciplines as computer science, computer-aided design systems, tractor theory, tractor design and calculation, tractor testing, etc.
The Department of Tractors trains engineering and scientific personnel together with the Department of Wheeled Tractors, which is located on the production facilities of the Minsk Tractor Plant and is equipped with the most advanced bench testing equipment, modern machine design systems and a training and production base.
Graduates of the specialty receive the qualification of a mechanical engineer and can work at enterprises for the production of tractors, automobiles, road and agricultural machines, in research and design organizations in the positions of design engineers, research engineers, heads of production sites, services and workshops ( for example, Minsk Tractor Plant, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, Amkodor OJSC, Minsk, BelAZg. Zhodino). The qualification obtained at the university allows graduates to work successfully at enterprises and organizations involved in the operation and repair of automotive equipment, in centers for pre-sale preparation, maintenance and acquisition of machine-tractor units.

The educational process is characterized by in-depth training in the latest general scientific and special disciplines, including control systems and diagnostics of machines, ergonomics and habitability of multi-purpose machines, computer-aided design systems for their components and assemblies.
The department "Tractors" conducts training of engineering and scientific personnel in this specialty together with the department "Wheel Tractors" (MTZ) and its branch at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. The educational process uses the most modern equipment, integrated design systems and the training and production facilities of both enterprises.
Graduates of the specialty can work in the fields of automotive and tractor building, transport engineering and metalworking, the defense complex, at enterprises engaged in the design, manufacture, testing, operation and maintenance of modern tracked and wheeled vehicles, as well as in research organizations, in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. establishments (for example, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, the Minsk Tractor Plant, the Minsk Automobile Plant, OJSC Amkodor, BelAZ, etc.).

Graduates receive the qualification of an electromechanical engineer and are prepared to work in the design, research, production, operation and maintenance of vehicles with an automated traction electric drive, as well as their power supply systems.
In the process of education, students study general scientific and special disciplines, such as production organization and management, the theory of automatic rolling stock systems, electrical substations and traction electric drives, electronics, diagnostic systems and microprocessor technology in mountain electric transport, etc.
Specialists can successfully work in the technical services of tram and trolleybus depots, in the subway, at enterprises producing trolleybuses, trams, electric vehicles, vehicles with electric transmissions, in research and development organizations (for example, UE Belkommunmash, trolleybus and tram depots located in the regional centers of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk metro, BelAZ, Zhodino, etc.).
"Industrial design (vehicles)" (1-61 01 01-01)
Duration of study: full-time education - 4 years.
The professional knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by graduates of this specialty will allow them, having basic engineering training, to work in close contact with designers and technologists, to jointly create vehicle design projects.
The designer concentrates on the problems of users, on consumer quality, in contrast to the design engineer, who focuses on the performance of the product, its technical quality and the possibility of optimal production. Design engineers are responsible for ensuring that the product they design is representative, safe, easy to use, suitable for human labor.
The training of such specialists contributes to the development of the scientific, technological and creative potential of the engineering corps of enterprises focused on the creation and production of competitive industrial products.
In the process of training future design engineers, the main attention is paid to the methods and means of artistic design, the requirements of technical aesthetics, the patterns of design shaping and composition in accordance with global trends, the study of methods for making layouts, layout and three-dimensional computer modeling of the design of the upper structure, cabin interiors, workplace operator of tracked and wheeled vehicles using modern application software packages in the field of information technology, the use of modern materials for the manufacture and assembly of vehicle support systems.
Graduates receive the qualification of "engineer-designer" and can work as designers, engineers, design artists in the development of design projects for vehicles, in various fields related to design, research in the field of mechanical engineering, in enterprises for the production of automotive and tractor equipment, urban transport and other multi-purpose caterpillar and wheeled vehicles, in research and design organizations, in design bureaus.
