The Minsk Regional Library named after A.S. Pushkin invited the Faculty of Architecture to participate in the presentation of the monograph "Art Collections of the Princes Wittgenstein in the Context of European Art of the 19th Century" by Doctor of Art History, Associate Professor, Director of the State Scientific Institution "Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language, and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" O. N. Popko. The work was devoted to the history of the creation and existence of the art collections of the princes Wittgenstein, the largest landowners in Belarus and Lithuania.
On March 27, the National Olympic Stadium "Dynamo" hosted the "People's Exercises" event, in which the Faculty of Architecture took an active part.
On March 26, students from the Faculty of Architecture held a cleanup day at BNTU Dormitory No. 16 to mark Maundy Thursday.
Senior Curator of the Faculty of Arts, G.E. Molokovich, made a scheduled visit to BNTU Dormitory No. 16 to inspect the sanitary conditions of the rooms and common areas. As students are currently actively preparing their performances for the BNTU Spring Festival, safety instructions regarding rehearsals in the workrooms are of paramount importance. G.E. The Faculty of Architecture participated in the national project "Minsk - Youth Capital of the Republic of Belarus 2026." On March 26, the project hosted the cultural and entertainment show "In the Rhythm of the Capital" at the Football Arena.
The AF Student Union's Primary Trade Union (PTU) held a reporting and election conference on March 25. The event included the re-election of the PTU's chair and deputy chair.
On March 25, Minskproekt UP invited students from the Faculty of Architecture to participate in a dialogue platform titled "Designing the Country's Future through Architecture, Culture, and Continuity of Generations." The event was held to provide career guidance to young people, foster interest in the architectural and construction industries, and strengthen intergenerational continuity in the professional environment.
On March 24, a meeting of the Head of State Statistics (HSS) was held with the participation of Yu. B. Kozlovskaya, Head of the Department of Student Certification and Education Quality Assessment, on the topic of correctly filling out the journals of study group leaders (class attendance).

Educational program of the II International Architectural Forum "Efficient Environment"
Today, we're introducing you to the second team and the concept for the reorganization of Kalinin Square. The workshop was curated by the company "TM ARCHITECTUR LEVINA L.M.", represented by its director, Galina Levina. The team included Vladimir Alekhine (BNTU), Alexandra Gorshkova (BSTU), Yana Kholodova (BSTU), and Maria Yaroshik (BNTU).
Research: Kalinin Square in Minsk is a key hub on Independence Avenue. The space is perceived as a pedestrian area. The square's main problems include noise and visual pollution, a lack of focal points, a weak connection to urban life, and a dominant transportation feature.
✔ The concept: to create a space that brings people together (the physically disabled, children, tourists, pensioners, people with pets, cyclists), returning the square to its social and cultural function, transforming it into a comfortable and modern space for residents and visitors of the city.
The authors propose:
➕ Divide the area into three parts: a historical and cultural public and commercial zone;
➕ Remove the duplicate roadway and replace it with a green space and pedestrian street;
➕ Create an architectural focal point for the square – a spiral, with an observation deck, green areas, recreation areas, and a waterfall;
➕Create a new reservoir with a low relief – a water amphitheater. Along with an art installation;
➕ Create a calm and active recreation area under the main spiral: a swing area and areas with suspended nets;
➕ Create a children's play area, including an interactive one;
➕ Create community gardens;
➕ Create bike paths and bike racks;
➕ Increase green space;
➕ Create a new lighting concept.
The lighting in the recreation areas is soft. Architectural elements are highlighted with contour lighting. Paths are contour-lit for safety, and trees are silhouetted.
The redevelopment of Kalinin Square aims to harmoniously blend history and modernity, creating a space where people can relax, meet, and spend time with family and friends.

On October 9, 2025, students of the BNTU Faculty of Architecture, Vera Vasilyeva, Yulia Topchilko, Darya Rimashevskaya, and Dmitry Marchuk, took part in the final of the Arch Skilled 2025 International Architectural Project Competition, which was held by AluminTechno LLC and BSA OO at the address: Minsk District, Novodvorsky Rural Council, Korolishchevichi Village, Svichlochskaya Street, 24. This year, 397 projects from four countries participated in the competition: the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The international jury included N.N. Shulyakovskaya, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and N.A. Lazovskaya, Head of the Department of Architecture of Residential and Public Buildings. Following the competition, the aforementioned BNTU Faculty of Architecture students were awarded diplomas in their respective categories. On October 9, 2025, a delegation consisting of employees and students of the BNTU Faculty of Architecture arrived at AluminTechno LLC to hold the Torch Relay ceremony. The ceremony is held in honor of the 105th BNTU and with the aim of popularizing engineering education at the enterprises that hire personnel. From October 1 to 2, students from the Faculty of Architecture of the Belarusian National Technical University are participating in the finals of the "Minsk Shift-2025" city project. The goal of the "Minsk Shift 2025" project is to engage young people in solving real-life problems that affect them. Participants learn to create social projects—that is, propose concrete ideas for improving life in their city or country. The event program includes project presentations, interactive platforms, and discussions with experts in various fields. More than 300 participants are presenting 184 innovative projects at the exhibition and presentation. This year, 13 BNTU student initiatives reached the finals of the city's youth project "Minskaya Smena-2025," six of which were submitted by the Faculty of Architecture. Vladislav Kashkovsky, a student in group 11101425, was awarded a diploma for the best project in the field of "Ecology and Improvement."

International Exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus"
On September 30, the International Exhibition "INNOPROM" was held at the Minsk International Exhibition Center BELEXPO. Students of the Faculty of Architecture were delighted to attend the event. The exhibition space covered over 20,000 square meters. The exhibition was attended by over 14,000 people from 24 countries. 520 companies from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan showcased their products at the exhibition. A total of 73 Russian regions participated in the event, 23 of which had booths. Promising areas of interregional cooperation were identified within the framework of the INNOPROM. Exhibition dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period
On July 9, the Belarusian National Technical University opened an exhibition dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the prosecutor of the Sovietsky district of Minsk Anton Zagorovsky, the rector of BNTU Sergei Kharitonchik, as well as students and employees of the architecture faculty of BNTU. The exhibition stands feature archival photographs, eyewitness accounts and documents that tell of the tragedy of our people. Each of these testimonies is the voice of those who could not be heard.

The Victory Train Project and the Faculty of Architecture's asset
"Victory Train" is an interactive museum located in a real train. It consists of 9 themed carriages, each of which is dedicated to a certain period of the Great Patriotic War. Inside the carriages there is multimedia support, realistic decorations and walking along the train you can hear an audio guide with stories that literally "transport" you to the past: you can hear the clatter of wheels, scenes of battles, the life of soldiers and the peaceful life of the pre-war years are shown. The train arrived from Russia, stopped for a couple of days in our regional cities. All week long, volunteers, including ours from BNTU, provided assistance in organizing excursions and generally helped visitors with placing excursions in the carriages of the mobile museum.

On May 8, a meeting with Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, was held at BNTU. From April 21 to 29, 2025, the project "DizArchIst - International School of Design and Architectural-Historical Environment" was held, organized by the Smolensk branch of the Union of Designers of Russia with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The main theme of the international school was the study of memorial sites associated with military history and the search for suitable architectural solutions for their preservation or renovation. Third-year students of the Department of Architectural Environment Design of the AF BNTU Yana Azyava, Viktor Butomo and Anastasia Demidovich also took part in this project. The program began with a trip - a field workshop around Belarus, accompanied by the author's honored architect of the Republic of Belarus with a world name, Yuri Mikhailovich Gradov. The participants visited the memorial complexes "Khatyn" and "Proryv", the monument to the war of 1812 in Polotsk and the memorial to the Great Patriotic War in Vitebsk. The Smolensk State University hosted the project launch, introductory lectures, and design seminars, where the role of memorials in the urban environment was discussed.
Off-site workshops also took place at memorial sites in Smolensk and other cities in the region - Vyazma, Rzhev, Yelnya, Gnezdovo, for example, Solovyova crossing, the memorial in Rzhev and the Katyn complex, and at lesser-known sites: mass graves, squares, small monuments. During the trip, the participants discussed what architectural solutions could be proposed for such locations, what could be changed, and what was best left as is. These field workshops helped the participants see how differently memory space could be organized.
A separate block of the program took place in Moscow. Participants visited war memorials in the Moscow region, in Mytishchi, the Museum of Contemporary History, got acquainted with the architectural landmarks of the center of Moscow, walked along Red Square, Arbat and other famous places. This allowed them to look at the topic of memory in a broader context - how it can be integrated into the everyday urban environment.
On April 28, a final meeting was held in Smolensk, where topics for individual assignments were discussed. In total, more than 30 ideas were proposed, from which the participants chose their own directions: a monument to underground wars (Demidovich A.), a monument to military doctors (Azyava Ya.), reconstruction of the complex with a monument to Sudoplatov at the entrance to Smolensk (Butomo V.), a memorial to the burnt villages of the Smolensk region (Butomo V. and Volokitin A.), a project for the Solovyova crossing (Azyava Ya. and Demidovich A.).
The trip was eventful, with a balance between the educational, excursion and research parts. Participants were able to get acquainted with real objects, discuss them with professionals and start working on their own architectural proposals.

On April 24, the Faculty of Architecture visited the construction exhibition with the responsible curator Yaroshuk P.S. The exhibition will be held from April 23 to 25, 2025 in Minsk at 20/2 Pobediteley Avenue (Football Arena). On April 21, a meeting of the staff with the priest of the St. Elizabeth Convent in Minsk, Sergiy Faley, took place in the Hall of Fame of the Belarusian National Technical University. "Evidence-based urbanism!"
On April 10, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture was visited by Akentyev Alexander Grigorievich, chief architect of the Minskgrado UP, with a lecture on the topic - "Evidence-based urbanism". For many years, he taught at the Department of Urban Planning of BPI-BNTU. In order to raise the level of urban planning culture of the population and provide qualified assistance to a growing circle of participants in urban planning activities, he initiated the creation of the Territorial Information System Program in the Republic of Belarus, with which in 1990 he was nominated by the work collective of "BelNIIPgradostroitelstva" as a candidate for deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus. From March 24 to 28, the VI Open Competition of National Cultures, Creativity and Beauty "Grace International" is being held in Vitebsk. After the qualifying round, 7 girls and 7 boys from different universities of Belarus reached the final. One of the finalists was a student of the Faculty of Architecture of the Belarusian National Technical University from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Davron Mirzaev. During the preparation, the guys rehearse performances, take part in master classes, photo sessions, fashion shows, attend excursions and prepare for intermediate competitions and a gala concert, at which. On March 22, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture took part in the BNTU Open Day. From 9:00 to 12:30, the Faculty's stand was open in the 8th academic building, where detailed information about the 2025 admissions campaign was presented. Examples of creative works for the entrance examinations in "drawing, composition, drafting, painting" were prepared for applicants. As part of cooperation with customer-personnel organizations, UP "Belpromproekt" (one of the leading design enterprises in the country) sent its representatives to organize career guidance for applicants wishing to enroll under the target recruitment. A tour of the departments was organized for those wishing to get acquainted with the material and technical base of the faculty. At a short meeting with representatives of the rector's office and deans of faculties, which took place at 12.30 in the assembly hall of the main building, parents and applicants could ask all their questions directly. Applicants entering the Faculty of Architecture were interested in the rules for preferential admission after the Republican Children's Technopark and the conditions for admission under the target recruitment. Victims of Khatyn
In connection with the approaching mournful date - March 22, "Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Khatyn Tragedy", the Faculty of Architecture talked with a student of the study group 11101421, Yaskevich Kirill, who is the great-grandson of Vladimir Yaskevich, who miraculously escaped the fire of Khatyn. However, their relatives keep and sacredly honor the memory of that terrible day today. As Kirill says, the Khatyn tragedy had a strong impact on his worldview and attitude towards the past of our country. The young man also shared that meeting people is often accompanied by a story about his family, one of the pages of which is the sad story of the burned village. It was Tereshko Angelina Yuryevna, a 4th year student of the specialty “Architecture” of group 11101221. The “Universal Design” competition is a unique platform for presenting innovative projects of students and young professionals, creating an atmosphere for generating ideas for creating an accessible environment. On December 26, the leaders of youth trends in our country (Trade Union, BRSM, Young Scientists and many others) gathered at the Bolshoi Theater of the Republic of Belarus, one of them, a student of the Faculty of Architecture of BNTU Alekhin Vladimir. A sightseeing tour of the Bolshoi Theater was organized for the children; the children visited not only the main hall and backstage, but also learned and saw live how the scenery is created, how the stage works, where the costume libraries are located and much more. 12/20/2024 in Nesvizh, Minsk region, with the participation of the dean’s office and students of the Faculty of Architecture (hereinafter referred to as AF) of BNTU, members of the Belarusian Union of Architects (hereinafter referred to as BSA), the administration of Nesvizh, the chief architect of the city, the design company VIASET led by General Director Vadim Drazhin, a presentation of the project took place: “The concept of regeneration of the Town Hall and Kostelnaya squares” of the central part of the city Nesvizh. For the first time, the author's team of the student creative association "MASHTAB" presented its presentation of the project at the BSA, where it received support and approval for the subsequent development of the concept. During the discussions, approaches to design were changed, a detailed analysis of the territory of the squares was carried out, and extraordinary ideas for a “new life” of the historical center were proposed. Coordination with the administration and local community was required. The presentation of the project took place in the Nesvizh Town Hall (an architectural monument of the 16th-18th centuries) and was presented by 5th year students gr. 11101420 Voronko Mikhail and Merkulova Valeria. The presentation program included a performance by the famous Belarusian sculptor Maxim Petrul. They were offered ideas for placing sculptural compositions as part of the regeneration of the territory of the historical center. Based on the results of the two speeches, an open dialogue took place. Invited guests from among the administration, creative intelligentsia, city residents and potential investors of the project expressed their opinions on the project.

On December 14, 2024, at the Gymnasium No. 15 in Minsk, students of the Faculty of Architecture organized the “MakaBuilder - 2024” competition among students aged 10-17 years in specialized engineering classes. The key direction for organizing the competition on December 14, 2024 was chosen - Structural construction of the spatial frame of buildings - “The tallest structure”. The organizers of the competition were the administration of the Faculty of Architecture (hereinafter - AF), members of the AF Student Council, leaders of the creative formations of the faculty: “ARHidea”, “ARHrelax”, “ARTSlava”, administration and teachers of the gymnasium. 5 (five) participating teams of 3-5 people in each of students aged 10-17 years were formed under the names:
Teams at the competition were given 1 hour to complete the task. During this time, participants had to model a building or structure (construct small architectural forms), design a spatial frame or a three-dimensional module of the greatest height. The models submitted to the competition had to maintain their integrity until the results were summed up (waiting time for stability checks - 20 minutes).

17.11.2024 A trip took place among 1st, 2nd and 5th year students of the Academy of Sciences as part of ideological, informational and educational work during extracurricular hours. Students were familiarized with the historical and cultural heritage of our country, examples and techniques of restoration and conservation of architectural monuments. The excursions took place in the newly recreated Bulgakov palace in Zhilichi and the unique palace complex in the Art Nouveau style in Krasny Bereg. The students were particularly interested in the modern method of preserving ruins and using them in the cultural space of the city using the example of a former synagogue in Bobruisk. In addition, places of eternal memory of the Belarusian people dedicated to the tragedy of the Second World War were visited. This is a memorial complex in Krasny Bereg, perpetuating the history of the death of more than a thousand Belarusian children, mutilated and tortured by the Nazis. The complex was designed by the famous architect L.M. Levin, author of Khatyn. Architectural students got acquainted with the techniques of planning organization, the principles of composition of the complex, the basis of which the author laid great symbolic meaning. The combination of all the factors in this search and the thoughtfulness of every detail led to the appearance of such a grandiose, large-scale work that has a strong emotional impact on people. Also on the territory of Krasny Bereg, students paid tribute at the memorial sign at the site of the death of Soviet soldiers who liberated this settlement.

On Wednesday, November 13th, students of the Faculty of Architecture came together to hold a volunteer event at the Tabun horse farm. During the day, the guys were engaged in various tasks: from cleaning the area to helping care for the horses. During the work, students learned more about their behavior, nutrition and preparation for competitions and daily training. We personally met all the inhabitants of the farm - in addition to horses, we could also notice other inhabitants: cats, dogs and ducks. After a hearty snack, the most pleasant and memorable moment came—massive horse riding after hard work! Experienced farm workers taught the students how to properly handle horses during the trip.

On October 24–25, the finalists of the ARCH SKILLED competition, organized by the ALUTECH group of companies, were defended and awarded. The competition included a preliminary selection of competitive works among students, a series of educational webinars from leading industry experts on the use of modern translucent structures and glazing, finalization of projects, consultations with experts, defense and awards. More than 300 participants from different countries took part in the competition in the categories “individual residential building”, “multi-apartment residential building” and “public building”. Representatives from Minsk, Lida, Gomel, Brest, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Novosibirsk and Rostov-on-Don took part in the final.

On October 11, the final games for the title of the best faculty in the largest sporting event - “Faculty Battles - 2024” took place, as well as the closing ceremony of the sports festival. On October 16, the final of the competition “BNTU Student of the Year – 2024” took place. The organizer of the university competition is the PA "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" with the rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan BNTU. This year’s list of finalists included architecture student Daria Rimashevskaya. In the bright and festive atmosphere of the event, Daria spoke about herself and her hobbies, demonstrated her talents and strengths. Candidates for the title of “Student of the Year” competed in several tests: a business card competition and a creative competition. Based on the results of the competition, our student received a certificate of participation. Republican exhibition-competition of children's creativity "ArchNovation - 2024"
Every year, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, in cooperation with the educational institution “National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth,” initiates the Republican exhibition-competition of children’s creativity “ArchNovation - 2024”. This academic year, the exhibition-competition “ArchNovation - 2024” was dedicated to the Year of Quality and the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction. The purpose of the exhibition-competition was the patriotic, spiritual and moral education of students through introducing them to the values of the Belarusian cultural heritage; increasing interest in the architecture of their native land, developing children's architectural and artistic creativity, identifying and supporting young talents, increasing the prestige of the professions of "architect" and "builder". The dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the Belarusian National Technical University, Armen Sergeevich Sardarov, and his deputy for ideological and educational work, Yanush Alesya Pavlovna, were invited as chairman and member of the jury. II Republican Family Patriotic Festival “Time”
The II Republican Family Patriotic Festival “Time” is taking place in Minsk on September 28. The joint initiative of the ROO "Belaya Rus" and the party of the same name brought together hundreds of participants with children from all over the country. At the site of the Minsk DOSAAF Aero Club named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union S.I. Gritsevets, as part of the festival, demonstration performances by pilots and parachutists, excursions to the aircraft museum, dialogue platforms, a concert and tastings of products of Belarusian manufacturers are held. The Center for Education of AF students together with the Center for Education of FES students held a cleanup day. The union rallied the two faculties so that together they could complete a large amount of work. The guys did their best, several hours of hard work and the area around the hostel was clean and tidy again, all the leaves and mown grass were collected in piles and taken to the trash, the paths were swept. At the end, the guys received a well-deserved rest and gratitude from the head of hostel number 16. We thank all the participants in this action, when we are together, we can do anything.

Bike ride of the Trade Union on the eve of National Unity Day
The BNTU team took part in the bike ride, consisting of: rector Sergei Kharitonchik, vice-rector for ideological and educational work Timur Matyushinets, chairman of the professional training of BNTU students Maxim Kulik, chairman of the professional professional training of BNTU workers Irina Vakhtina, trade union activist of students and university employees. Last week, students of our faculty Vladimir Alekhin and Alexey Lasitsky attended youth courses for trade union activists. 5 interesting days, a rich program, the best food, a picturesque place and much more. All this can be found in courses for youth trade union activists. Every day is something new, new acquaintances, new impressions and emotions. 2 days of lectures, these are the most intense days, where in a day you can learn useful information about various aspects of the political, economic, cultural and social life of our country. The Year of Quality contributed to the theme of lectures and excursions, as well as to the main task of the courses, a project to create a video on the topic. The team of the trade union of education and science workers was tasked with showing the quality of Belarusian butter through a video. And our guys became the undisputed winners of the projects at this race. But the most important thing in these courses, besides training, is new acquaintances with representatives of both your industry trade union and with other members of the spheres of trade union activity.

Hello freshman!
Last Friday, the Faculty of Architecture held an unforgettable quest for first-year students! It was a great opportunity not only to get to know each other, but also to immerse ourselves in an atmosphere of creativity and team spirit. The guys divided into groups and went on an exciting journey around the campus, solving interesting problems and performing creative tasks. Each team received unique routes and riddles, during which the guys not only tested their knowledge, but also discovered new places for themselves. Upon completion of the quest, a pleasant surprise awaited the students - the winners were awarded on behalf of the PPO students of BNTU and the PO BRSM BNTU. Thanks to everyone who took part and made this day unforgettable! We are sure that this quest was a great start for new acquaintances and friendships.

Minsk Half Marathon 2024
On September 8, 2024, the Minsk Half Marathon took place in the capital of the Republic of Belarus, which is very popular among runners. The Minsk Half Marathon was held for the first time in 2013. And now it is the hallmark of the city, a noisy and vibrant sporting event. Participants ran a half marathon of 21.1 km and shorter distances of 10.5 and 5 km, as well as a corporate relay race and a children's race. In total, more than 6,800 people took part in the races. Molokovich Galina Evgenievna, senior teacher of the Department of Architecture of Residential and Public Buildings, took 2nd place in the age group among women at a distance of 10.5 km! Students of the Faculty of Architecture also took an active part in the race. The half marathon course in Minsk is known for its long hills. The route runs along the wide Minsk avenues through the city center, capturing the main attractions. Participants start on Pobediteley Avenue, then they run to the other side of the Svisloch River and through Starostinskaya Sloboda continue the race along the embankment, then a bridge and the finish line passing along Independence Avenue.
