The Center was established with the aim of pursuing a unified policy in the field of informatization of the educational process, scientific research and the management system of the university, development, implementation and maintenance of new information and communication technologies.
Primary Functions of the Center for Information Technology:

- Providing consultation and information services to university departments regarding the use and development of information technologies.
- Implementing information security policies and protecting the university's information resources.
- Participating in the development, implementation, and support of university-wide projects that shape a unified information environment.
Key Tasks of the CIT Include:
- Developing and monitoring the implementation of the informatization strategy and annual informatization plan for the university.
- Maintaining the technical readiness and development of the university's infrastructural complex.
- Formulating technical requirements and conducting expert evaluations during the procurement process for the university's needs.
- Developing and ensuring compliance with information security regulations.
- Ensuring the university's online presence and facilitating information interaction with the internet audience using modern web technologies.
- Monitoring the implementation of research and project results in the field of informatization.
- Promoting the integration of cutting-edge information and communication technologies into educational, research, and production processes.
- Preparing necessary reports for governing and regulatory bodies regarding informatization matters.
- Conducting systematic analyses of the CIT's performance within the university and developing proposals for improvement.
- Contributing to the university's mission, as well as its goals and policies related to quality and the development of the university's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensuring the effective functioning of the university's QMS.
