Emeritus Professor

Alimzhan Akhmadzhanovich Riskulov (born 1962) is an outstanding Uzbek scientist and teacher in the field of materials science and automotive engineering, dean of the Uzbek-Belarusian Joint Faculty of Tashkent State Transport University. In 1984, he graduated with honors from the Tashkent Automobile and Road Institute (TADI) with a degree in Road Construction Machinery and Equipment, after which he continued his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Mechanics of Metal Polymer Systems of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. academician V. A. Bely in Gomel. In 1990, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Development of new metal polymers based on hermopolymers and thermoplastics", and in 2011 — his doctoral thesis "Scientific foundations of technology of nanocomposite polymer and metal polymer materials for automotive equipment". In 2019, he was awarded the academic title of professor. He worked his way up from a teacher to the head of large educational institutions: from 2002 to 2007, he headed the Department of Materials Science, from 2007 to 2008, he was Dean of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, from 2008 to 2016, he was Vice—rector for Scientific Work at TADI, and from 2016 to 2020, he was rector of the Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Operation. highways.

He is the author of more than 150 scientific articles, 7 monographs, 8 patents, 6 textbooks and teaching aids, as well as more than 20 educational and methodological developments. Under his leadership, 5 PhD and one doctoral dissertation were defended, and his own scientific school in the field of materials science was formed, specializing in the creation of nanostructured composite polymer materials.

A special place in his work is occupied by strengthening international cooperation in the field of education. In 2018, Professor Riskulov initiated the creation of an Uzbek-Belarusian joint faculty at the Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Operation of Highways, where 167 students currently study in six fields of study. This project has become an important stage in the development of academic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, facilitating the exchange of experience and the integration of educational standards. Thanks to his efforts, close contact was established with the Belarusian National Technical University, joint scientific research was organized, and academic mobility of teachers and students was organized.

In 2021, as dean of the Uzbek-Belarusian Joint Faculty of Tashkent State Transport University, Alimzhan Akhmadzhanovich Riskulov was awarded the honorary title of "Honorary Professor" of the Belarusian National Technical University for his significant contribution to the development of international scientific and educational cooperation, the creation of a joint educational platform and the promotion of the Belarusian model of technical education in Uzbekistan. His textbooks and scientific developments are actively used in the educational process of BNTU, and his personal contribution to the development of materials science and automotive technology is immortalized in the history of the university as an example of successful integration of national scientific schools.
