Education:

BSU, Physics Faculty (1984), postgraduate study, BSU (1993), doctoral study, BNTU (2009). PhD in Physics and Mathematics (1993), Associate Professor in Physics (1999), D.Sci. in Physics and Mathematics (2009), Professor in Physics (2010), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2017). 

He has been teaching at the department since 1996, and lecturing courses: "Laser Technologies in Materials Processing and Medicine", "Technologies of Opto-Electronics Engineering", “Physical Optics and Optical Spectral Devices”. Under his supervision 1 PhD and 2 MS theses were defended. 

Research area: 

optical spectroscopy of laser active and passive media, development of opto-electronic and laser devices and systems, optics of nanostructures.

He managed international projects funded by INTAS, TEMPUS, Erasmus-Mundus, Erasmus+ and Royal Society (UK).

He supervised R@D Projects within the frameworks of the Belarusian SRPs "Photonics", "Nanotech", "Electronics and Photonics", SSTP "Reference and Scientific Devices". Currently he supervises R@D Project in the framework of SRP "Photonics and Electronics for Innovations".

Member of Councils for PhD and Doctoral Theses Defense D 02.05.17 under BNTU and D 02.01.17 under Belarusian State University. Editor-in-Chief of the scientific and technical journal “Energetika. Proceedings of CIS higher education institutions and power engineering associations” (Scopus), Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the scientific and technical journal  Instruments and Methods of Measurement.

Publications: 

Author of 1 monograph and more than 300 scientific and educational papers, including 3 review articles and 100 papers in peer-reviewed national and international (Europian and American) journals, 9 patents of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
