The Department of Internal Combustion Engines trains mechanical engineers in the
following specialties:
1-37 01 01 "Internal combustion engines"
with specialization 1-37 01 01 01 "Engines of cars, tractors and agricultural machines"
on full-time and part-time forms of education .
Duration of study : full-time education - 5 years , part-time - 6 years , part-time reduced on the basis of USSO - 5 years .
When preparing for a specialty, the following disciplines are studied: gas dynamics and pressurization units; ICE production technology; theory of working processes of internal combustion engines; computer-aided design of internal combustion engines; internal combustion engine dynamics; thermodynamics and heat transfer; mathematical modeling of production processes; hydraulics and hydraulic machines; organization of production; ICE toxicity; internal combustion engine systems; technical diagnostics of autotractor internal combustion engines; design of engines for cars, tractors, agricultural machines; operating materials; design and calculation of internal combustion engines; alternative engine schemes; technical operation of motor vehicles and tractors; internal combustion engine tests; automatic regulation and control of internal combustion engines; unsteady modes of operation of the internal combustion engine.
Young specialists-graduates are sent to the leading enterprises of the Republic of Belarus related to the production of engines, automotive, agricultural and special equipment.
Dealer and service centers, joint ventures and representative offices of leading foreign companies for the production, sale, maintenance of engines and automotive equipment have a need for graduates of the specialty.
The best of the graduates with a penchant for scientific work can continue their postgraduate studies in the specialty "Thermal Engines" .
