Specialty "Automotive" (1-37 01 02)
As part of the specialty , engineers are trained in the following areas:
1-37 01 02-01 Automotive industry (mechanics),
1-37 01 02-02 Automotive industry (electronics).
Training of engineers in the direction 1-37 01 02-01 "Automotive industry (mechanics)" is carried out in two specializations:
1-37 01 02 01 Trucks;
1-37 01 02 04 Computer-aided design of vehicles.
1-37 02 01-01 02 "Passenger vehicles"
In this direction, students study in full-time and part-time forms of education, and in the direction of "Automotive (electronics)" - in the daytime.
Duration of study: full-time education - 5 years, part-time reduced on the basis of USSO - 5 years.
Particular attention in the course "Automotive Engineering (Mechanics)" is paid to the design, design, testing and certification of automotive equipment, computer-aided design and production of vehicle components, modeling of the movement of the vehicle, the operation of its units and systems, the basics of vehicle operation.
Students studying in the direction of "Automotive Engineering (Electronics)" also receive knowledge in the design, programming, diagnostics, maintenance and testing of electronic, mechatronic and intelligent automated control systems for vehicle workflows.
The training of engineers in the specialty " Automotive Engineering", in addition to the department "Automobiles", is carried out by the departments "Heavy vehicles and road trains" at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and "MAZ Motor Vehicles" at MAZ, which have an advanced technological base, test benches with program control, modern computer workstations with the necessary software, a laboratory for computer-aided design and vehicle calculations.
The departments carry out the training of highly qualified scientific personnel through master's, postgraduate and doctoral studies .
Graduates of this specialty receive the qualification of "engineer " and work at enterprises producing heavy-duty, medium-duty and specialized vehicles (MAZ, BelAZ, MZKT, MAZ-Kupava, MoAZ), buses (AMAZ, Experimental Plant Neman), auto-aggregate plants, in research institutes and laboratories, firms and design organizations involved in the development, creation, modernization and certification of automotive equipment, where they hold the positions of design engineers, test engineers, research engineers, foremen, users of computer-aided design systems for automotive equipment and scientific employees.
