The repository is designed to provide the teaching staff and students of the university with the entire volume of full-text information published at BNTU. The repository contains: monographs, textbooks, educational and methodological manuals, articles from periodicals, conference proceedings, research reports, abstracts of dissertations, student papers, curricula. All types of documents (with the exception of research reports) are available via the Internet in the form of full texts for viewing and downloading. For the scientific and teaching staff of the university, publication in the Repository is an opportunity to place their works in the public domain and have a permanent hyperlink to them.

The Scientific Library of BNTU has become a new participant in the project " Network Electronic Library of Technical Universities ", implemented on the ELS platform "Lan". The EAPATIS system was developed by the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) in order to improve the efficiency and quality of patent searches and patent information support for the examination of applications for inventions. The volume of patent information provided to users (including full descriptions of patent documents for individual databases) is over 1.5 terabytes. The database contains all patent documents of the EAPO, WIPO, the European Patent Office, the US Patent Office, the USSR and Russia (since 1924), patent documents of countries included in the “PCT Minimum Documentation” of different retrospective depth, as well as patent documents of national patent offices of countries CIS, including EAPO member countries.
