The Automotive and Tractor Faculty (ATF) is the largest and most prestigious faculty of the Belarusian National Technical University. Today ATF is a center for training both specialists for the automotive industry of the Republic of Belarus, as well as scientists and teachers in many areas of the national economy in the country and abroad. Over the 70 years of its existence, the faculty has been constantly developing. In the early years, he trained engineers in four specialties: road transport, automotive, tractor and agricultural mechanization.
Currently, the faculty is training in 15 specialties full-time and 8 correspondence courses. More than 3,000 full-time students and more than 1,700 part-time students study at the faculty.
About 300 employees work at ATP. The teaching staff - more than 160 people, including over 20 doctors of sciences, professors, 80 candidates of sciences, associate professors.
The faculty has a modern material and technical base for high-quality training of specialists - these are computerized diagnostic and test benches, instruments and equipment, lecture halls and laboratories equipped with multimedia technology, a computer center and computer classes of departments and scientific laboratories, united in a local computer network with access to the Internet.
Thousands of graduates of the automotive and tractor faculty work at industrial, motor transport enterprises, in design bureaus, educational institutions not only in the Republic of Belarus, but also in more than 70 foreign countries. They create new cars, tractors, special machines, equipment, maintain them, manage production, organize traffic and road transport. Graduates of our faculty everywhere show deep knowledge of their business, are an example in work and discipline, train and educate technical personnel.
Students have the opportunity to obtain a military specialty and a driver's license to drive cars of category "B" ("C"). The best graduates have the opportunity to continue their education in the magistracy and postgraduate studies
